Eunibooks

In 2004, one of the members of our own team discovered a gap in the market. A website just for students, to buy and sell their old textbooks for free. Once a module or year ends, students are often left with textbooks, which were very expensive to buy, a valuable asset. But with no easy way to recoup the cash, these books are often given away or even dumped.

Convinced there was a market and a huge target audience, we spent time brainstorming various ideas for the project and came up with a simple idea, a website which was easy to use, easy to navigate and well planned.

From the day it went live, there was a huge response to the eunibooks website. From a standing start the website currently has more than 1000 registered users and more than 3500 books listed for sale.

We kept the design functional and simple. Busy students just want to find the books they need to buy quickly with no fuss. And students wanting to sell need to get it done fast with no messing around.

There has been a steady flow of traffic to the website which peaked at the start of the academic year. New ideas and plans are evolving and the second phase for eunibooks will be started in Spring 2006.
